A great week of poetry!
I really enjoied this week in poetry. There were several good ones that I liked, but I did have two favorites that I find equally interesting and enjoyable. They are, "Say Over Again" by Elizabeth Browning and "The Woman's Cause is Man's" by Alfred Tennyson. Both written about love. I loved "Say Over Again" because I felt that I could really indentify with the woman in the poem wanting to hear over and over again her lover to pronounce his love to her and mean it with all of his heart. Even though i loved this poem, "The Womans' Cause Is Man's" was by fat my favorite this week. The way Tennyson protrays the love shared between a man and a woman and how they are very different, but simply complete each other was absolutely beautiful!

FRANKENSTEIN
I really enjoied the book Frankenstein. I had never read it before. I have heard tons of little things about it and of course what modern culture makes the creature of Frakenstein out to be. Of course, after reading the book I realized that what modern culture makes the creature of Frankenstein out to be is very far from what Shelley intended. I did like the book alot though because it really lets you get to know the characters, almost as if you can feel what they are feeling. There were times when I felt fear and discust at what was happening and times when I felt sympathy for the creature. I really think that Shelley wanted you to connect with the characters and feel sympathy for them because this book really plays on your emotions and to me that is one of the things that I loved about the book. I love books that you can connect with. The way Shelley writes through letters I almost felt as though the letters were written to me.
